What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had paper loss at the crossfolds (including in the bottom right corner of Lindfors' nose and some stains, tears, and small areas of paper loss in parts of the folds, with stains in the vertical fold from beneath Lindfors' chin to the middle crossfold). It had some darkening around the edges and on parts of the folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
