Gunga Din, the classic 1939 George Stevens British-in-India military romantic war melodrama ("Inspired by Rudyard Kipling's poem"; "Inspired by Rudyard Kipling's heroic lines"; "Out of the stirring glory of Kipling's seething India they roar - three fighting, loving, swaggering sons of the lusty Battalions... in the picture that's too big for words!"; "The giant of all romance - action shows!"; "Red-blood and gunpowder heroes... roaring for battle or ready for love!"; "From a Story by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur"; note that IMDB lists William Faulkner as an uncredited writer for this movie) starring Cary Grant, Victor McLaglen, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Sam Jaffe (in the title role as Gunga Din), Eduardo Ciannelli, Joan Fontaine, and Robert Coote

Important Added Info: Note that this is an incredibly rare pressbook! Likely it is because the movie was incredibly popular and was given many re-releases over the next fifteen years, and we have never auctioned this pressbook before, and better yet, it is complete and uncut, and it has an 4-page ad supplement! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut. It has some wear around the edges of the covers and a mark in the "A" of the title on the cover. Otherwise, it is in surprisingly nice condition!
