a lot of 22 local theater western window cards. Note that posters like these were printed on a thin paper and were sold to theaters in the 1940s. The people who made these likely also sold a partly metal frame with a metal easel backing that held these posters. In the 1940s, the Victor Cornelius company made 11" x 14" "window cards" like these that were on a slightly thicker paper, and were also one-color, and they mostly advertised B-western movies. The holder was designed to hold those thin paper window cards. The theater would simply take out the old one and put in a new one every time they changed the movies they were showing. We have only once auctioned one of these holders, in 2017, but we have been consigned several groups of these thin paper "window cards" (which often are advertising B-western movies, and usually include both 1930s and 1940s titles, but we think they were all being shown in the 1940s). We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
Measurements: each measures approximately 9 1/2" x 13"

Condition: fair to good. The window cards are all on a thin paper that has darkened and are fragile around the edges.
