An Unfolded S2 Re-Creation Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 82 1/2" [104 x 210 cm]) (Learn More)

Casablanca, the classic 1942 Michael Curtiz (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) anti-Nazi World War II (WWII) romantic love triangle melodrama ("From a play by Murray Burnett and June Alison"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; it is interesting to note that the movie was made while World War II was being fought, and at a point when it seemed very real that Germany might take over the entire world, and in that context, the strong emotions expressed throughout the movie are all the more poignant, given what was going on in the world at that time) starring Humphrey Bogart (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as "Rick", Richard Blaine), Ingrid Bergman (as Ilsa Lund), Paul Henreid (as Victor Laszlo), Claude Rains (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Captain Renault), Conrad Veidt (as Major Strasser), Sydney Greenstreet (as Signor Ferrari), Peter Lorre (as Ugarte), S.Z. Sakall (as Carl), Dooley Wilson (as Sam), Madeleine LeBeau (as Yvonne), Leonid Kinskey (as Sascha), John Qualen (as Berger), Marcel Dalio (as Emil, the croupier at the roulette wheel), Corinna Mura (as the cabaret singer who plays the guitar and sings "La Marseillaise"), Helmut Dantine (as the young man playing roulette), and Joy Page (as Dantine's girlfriend, who is willing to sleep with Rains)

Important Added Info: Note that this is one of the few THREE-SHEET recreations done by the S2 Art Group (see below). The original of this poster would likely cost over $100,000, so this poster is certainly an attractive alternative at a fraction of that price! Also note that each of the three sections of this poster (it was printed in that way) are rolled and will be sent in a very sturdy tube. This poster is from the "S2 Art Group". This company bought 100-year-old lithograph presses, completely refurbished them, and created stone slabs that allowed them to make nearly perfect replicas of classic movie posters (and in some cases making a stone litho version of a poster that was not originally a stone litho!). They were printed in exactly the same way the posters were originally printed (re-creating them down to the finest detail within the art, and even including the tiny writing from the bottom of the poster). These posters were printed between 1997 and 2003, and were NOT printed when the movies were originally released. It is super high quality and measures 41" x 82 1/2" [104 x 210 cm]).

Condition: very good to fine. Each of the sections of the poster are rolled and have a few tiny creases in the borders but are overall in nice condition!
