Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this window card! Not only that, but the only other poster we had previously auctioned was a single one-sheet. Also note that the card measures very slightly under 14" x 22" (an extremely tiny amount in each direction!) and has no left, right, or bottom blank borders, but it has NOT been trimmed (this was done at a time when MGM was experimenting with having as few borders as possible). In the case of this exact card, the printing on the bottom is very slightly cut off. Because the card measures 14" x 21 3/4", which is what all of these MGM window cards with the bottom full bleed measure, we think it is much more likely that this was a minor printing error, rather than the card being trimmed, and that the image was simply placed too low by a tiny bit. We leave it to bidders to decide how important they think this is. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good. The printing at the bottom edge of the card is slightly cut off, but we don't believe the card is trimmed (see above). There is tiny paper loss in the bottom right corner and a crease in the bottom left corner. There are faint scuff marks in Gable's face and a scuff line running across the center of the title (see our image). There are two tears and a crease in the middle of the right border that has a piece of tape on the back. Please see our super-sized image to get a sense of the exact condition of this card.
