Jones (in the title role as Flash Gordon), Melody Anderson (as Dale Arden), Ornella Muti (as Princess Aura), Max Von Sydow (as The Emperor Ming), Topol (as Dr. Zarkov), Timothy Dalton (as Prince Barin), Mariangela Melato ("as Kala"), Brian Blessed, and Peter Wyngarde NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Philip Castle Important Added Info: Note that this is a poster we have NEVER seen before (very rare for posters of the 1980s on)! We have previously sold several examples of a similar special poster (it measures exactly the same, but is vertical rather than horizontal, and we have sold it as a special teaser one-sheet). We have sold it three times since 2003, and it has sold for around $200 each time. Both posters have artwork by Philip Castle, but the art is laid out differently on each poster, because one is horizontal, and one is vertical, and there is a different border design to each poster. BUT THERE IS ANOTHER MAJOR DIFFERENCE! This poster (the horizontal one) is printed on a heavy stock with a glossy foil-like printing! We have never seen or heard of this poster before, and we may well never see it again! Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. There are some tiny scuffs in the extreme edges of the borders and a very few scuffs in the top 1" and bottom 1" of the black borders. There are a very few small creases around the edges of the image and in the black background. Other than the above, the poster is in really nice condition! There is a good chance that this poster was never used, or was only used one time. The poster has survived in nice condition, but has a few VERY minor imperfections, typical of this type of poster, and typical of the defects caused by handling the posters, and the aging of the paper over many years. We may have written just a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they are very minor.
