This book gives contact information for all the directors and top production people for the movies made in 1930, and they are cross referenced both by people's names and by the films themselves. This book has biographical information for the directors of 1930, similar to those in the two Motion Picture Almanac books we are selling separately on eBay. This book has far more ads than those other two books (note that several of the ads have photographic images of famous directors of the day). A few of the pages have small reproductions of 24-sheets from famous 1930 films! There is also a special section of "The Ten Best Directors of 1929-1930", which has 10 full-page portraits by artist Robert Griffith of those directors (including Ernst Lubitsch and James Whale, pictured below). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this book came from the estate of Alex Gordon. He told me that he thought this was the only surviving example of this book, and I myself (who collect similar books) had never seen or heard of another example of this book! Condition: good. spine of book is somewhat tattered and separated with much surface paper loss and discoloration as well as smudges, scuffs, and areas of surface paper loss throughout the cover (mostly around the edges); it appears that the first page is missing from the interior (it is possible it is more than 1 page missing, but I do not believe so) and a few of the pages are almost separated from the spine, but this has little if any effect on the reading material Learn More about condition grades
