An Original Vintage Theatrical Australian Bound Volume of Press Sheets (measures 10" x 12" [25 x 30 cm]; 350 pages) (Learn More) Press Sheets for Paramount & Metro Releases, the 1924 Paramount and Metro Australian bound volume of press sheets for various Paramount and Metro movies including: The Loves of Pharaoh, Shadows of Paris, Strangers of the Night, and Our Hospitality. It was quite common for studios to have bound volumes made of their pressbooks (called "press sheets" in Australia), because they would save them for reference. But we have never before seen a bound volume where it combines pressbooks from two different studios. So we wonder who would have created this bound volume. Perhaps it was some theater in Australia that did it. Regardless of who, we are greatly indebted to them, because these are incredibly rare Australian press sheets that would have almost surely not survived if they had not been bound together. Note that each of these press sheets tends to have 4 pages printed on a quality paper stock and 6 pages printed on a newsprint paper stock, and that the quality paper pages are printed on both sides, but the newsprint pages are printed on one side only. There are "poster pages" for all of the press sheets! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. We didn't count how many there are, but we would guess there are between 20 and 30 different titles contained in this volume. Important Added Info: Note that we have taken a picture of the cover and 4 interior 2-page spreads, which gives you a slight idea of how many great press sheets are contained in this volume. Condition: good to very good. There is much wear around the edges of the covers of the book. The interior pages have mostly darkened around the edges, but they are not all that fragile, even the newsprint pages, although they must be handled carefully. Learn More about condition grades
