An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 5" x 8" [13 x 20 cm]; 6 pages) (Learn More)

Animal Crackers, the classic 1930 Victor Heerman crime screwball comedy starring The Marx Brothers (Groucho, Harpo, Chico, and Zeppo), Lillian Roth, Margaret Dumont, Louis Sorin, Hal Thompson, and Margaret Irving. Note that this movie features the classic line, "One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know."!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that we know this herald (which was created for a specific theater) was used in 1931 (because a 1931 date is typed onto the top border of the front cover). But it is surely from 1931, from the continuous first release of the movie, because in those days, movies stayed in first release for at least a year or two, as they made their way around the United States. Also note that there is a 2-page ad within the herald for the theater's next attraction, which was "Laughter", another 1930 movie that was in its continuous first release. It has different images from that of the other heralds we have auctioned from this movie, and much better printing!

Condition: very good. There is small paper loss in the bottom left corner of the cover and back cover, and small surface paper loss on the matching corners of the other pages (see our images).
