An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Buck Jones, the 1940s stock poster printed for use by theaters that were showing re-releases of Buck Jones movies. The theaters would either write in the name of the particular movie they were showing that day, or paste on a paper snipe with the title, and then they could later re-use the poster when they showed a different Buck Jones movie. Sometimes examples of the posters were overprinted with specific titles. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this particular stock poster was used to show a re-release of the 1935 movie, "Border Brigands", and it was overprinted with that title. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds, with separation, small tears, and paper loss along all the folds, and pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
