8a026 LOT OF 44 1930S BURNE HOGARTH TARZAN SUNDAY NEWSPAPER PAGES '30s cool color comic strips!

a lot of 44 Burne Hogarth Tarzan Sunday newspaper pages from the 1930s. Note that in the 1930s, each major Sunday newspaper would have a weekly "comic section" that was distributed with their Sunday paper. Depending on the paper, the sections could be very large and quite elaborate, but in all cases, the comics were printed in full-color! There would be a number of different comic strips in each section, each receiving a full page. Often, collectors would remove specific strips that they loved, and create collections of them. In the case of these pages, someone removed 44 Tarzan Sunday pages from a newspaper in Montreal, Canada, called "The Standard", and these date from the late 1930s. The fronts of the pages all have the Tarzan comic strip that was at that time drawn by the great Burne Hogarth, and the backs have various strips on them (a lot of "Gasoline Alley", but also some of the other most favorite of the time like "Little Orphan Annie", "Popeye", "Harold Teen", etc.). We have pictured the fronts and backs of all the pages so that bidders can see every strip that is included!
Measurements: each meaasures approximately 11" x 15 1/2"

Condition: very good. The pages have darkened slightly. Some of the pages have some tears or tiny paper loss around the edges, and only a few have any significant wear in the borders, like stains or larger paper loss. The comic strip itself is almost completely unaffected in all cases (see our images).
