It was renamed Pepsi Cola in 1898 (the name comes from the digestive enzyme pepsin and kola nuts used in the recipe) and finally to Pepsi in 1961. Important Added Info: Note that this item is one of many that were consigned to us by an owner of a chain of theaters. It was given to him as a special promotion from Pepsi. We don't know if it was also sold commercially in any way, but the one being auctioned is the one this theater owner received. All of the items of apparel he received over a period of years are being auctioned in this set of auctions (each in its own auction). He has no other items!
