An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #8 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Whispering Shadow, the 1933 Al Herman & Colbert Clark (billed as "Bert Clark") horror crime murder mystery serial ("12 episodes of mystery, intrigue, and romance."; "Mascot Serials 'Blazing the Trail'"; "A serial thriller in twelve chapters"; about a criminal who commits murders through the clever use of television and radio waves, and a man whose brother was killed by that criminal, known as The Whispering Shadow, arrives to investigate his brother's death and his suspicions fall on the man who owns a creepy wax museum!) starring Bela Lugosi (in the title role as The Whispering Shadow), Henry B. Walthall, Karl Dane, Roy D'Arcy, Viva Tattersall, and Robert Warwick. Note that most of the lobby cards that have survived from this serial have a chapter title in the bottom border. There are also a few cards that are blank in that area. We suspect those are from a "feature" version of this serial. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: As noted above, this card does not have a chapter title in the bottom border. Therefore, it seems likely it is for a feature version of this serial. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. There are pinholes around the edges and brown stains scattered throughout the card. Obviously, this card can be restored, and it is likely that much of the brown staining can be removed through chemical means, but please read our description above and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid on this poster.
