An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 18") (Learn More) East Meets West, the 1936 Herbert Mason English Arabian romantic family relationship melodrama ("Author.. E. Greenwood"; based on a play by Edwin Greenwood; about an Arab Sultan, who has a son who breaks his father's heart by having an affair with the wife of a gangster) starring George Arliss, Lucie Mannheim (best remembered as "Miss Smith" in "The 39 Steps"), Godfrey Tearle, Romney Brent, and Ballard Berkeley NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. The window card originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame. Condition: good. The bottom 6" of the card was creased horizontally, and there are cracks along that crease. There is a similar crease in the bottom left corner of the image. The card is fragile, and should be backed, but little restoration of any sort within the image will be required. Learn More about condition grades
