Zanuck) starring Tyrone Power Jr. (in the title role as Roger Grant/Alexander), Alice Faye, Don Ameche, Ethel Merman, Jack Haley, Jean Hersholt, Helen Westley, John Carradine, Paul Hurst, Wally Vernon, Ruth Terry, Douglas Fowley, Chick Chandler, and Eddie Collins

Important Added Info: Note that all 40x60s from 1930s movies are extremely rare (with a very few exceptions, where multiple examples of a single poster have been found). Even more rare are 40x60s from top 1930s movies! We have never auctioned this poster before. Also note that because this poster is extremely fragile, it will need to be sent by itself in a long tube, and CANNOT be combined with any other purchases. Also note that this 40x60 has been trimmed in two blank borders and it now measures 39" x 59" [99 x 150 cm].

Condition: fair. The poster was printed on a thin glossy paper, to better create the sense of a huge color photograph. It has a 12" vertical tear in the right of the top border that has tears and paper loss along it (it extends into Power's hair and the edge of his temple, and one tear extends into his forehead, as seen in our image). There is a 7" vertical tear with paper loss and a tear along it in the far right of the top border, extending into the background. There is a tear in the left border that extends into the "R' of "RAGTIME" and a vertical tear extending 8" from it, down through the left of Carradine's credit. Someone put three kinds of tape on the back of those tears and paper loss. There are tears in the bottom center (at the bottom of the image) that are not taped from the back. There is also masking tape on the back of all four borders. There is a great number of small creases scattered throughout the poster. Because the poster measures 39" x 59", and because the borders are uneven, we think it is likely that 1" was trimmed from the blank right border and 1" trimmed from the blank bottom border. Obviously, this poster is in urgent need of expert professional restoration, but it is likely the only example of the poster that exists, and after proper restoration, it will make for a likely unique display, but bear in mind its many defects and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
