An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Dunked in the Deep, the 1949 Jules White slapstick comedy short ("Hats off to the Stooges! They're funnier than ever!"; "Ahoy, Stooges! The merriest stowaways to ever sail the briny"; "A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; in this entry, the Stooges are tricked into becoming stowaways by a Russian spy) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Shemp Howard), and Gene Roth. Note that this short reused a brief scene from 1934's "The Captain Hates the Sea" and also reused footage from 1946's "So's Your Antenna". After this movie was made, footage from it was reused in 1956's "Commotion on the Ocean". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. That poster has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example of this one-sheet we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top two crossfolds and some separation, tiny scuffs, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with some pinholes around the edges.
