An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One Stop Movie Poster (1 stop; measures 41" x 76 1/2" [104 x 194 cm]) (Learn More)

The First Great Train Robbery (released in the U.S. as "The Great Train Robbery"), 1979 Michael Crichton English railroad locomotive railway robbery action crime comedy ("Never have so few taken so much from so many."; "Screenplay by Michael Crichton based on his novel") starring Sean Connery, Donald Sutherland, Lesley-Anne Down, Alan Webb, and Malcolm Terris. Note that this movie was based on an actual train robbery in England in 1853. The movie was intended to be simply called "The Great Train Robbery", but it was released as "The First Great Train Robbery" in England, because there had been a major train robbery in 1963, and the producers were afraid that people would think the movie was about that! Also, the producers were able to convince Sean Connery to perform his own stunts in the movie, including running on top of a moving train (they told him it was going at 35mph, but later on it was proven that it had been going 55mph!).

Artist: Tom Jung & Roger Kastel
Important Added Info: Note that this one-stop poster was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back of the poster).
