Franklin boy-and-his-beloved-dog German Shepherd canine juvenile crime action melodrama ("You stick to me, kid, and you'll have the time of your life."; "Rin-Tin-Tin Jr."; "Greatest dog star of screen history -- wait 'till you see him in action with Jackie Cooper"; about the son of a rich man who has a dog he loves, and his father hates the dog and orders his son to get rid of it, and instead the son runs away with the dog and ends up in hiding with a gangster, and the police are hunting for the gangster while the gang members are trying to find the boy to collect the huge reward his father has offered) starring Jackie Cooper, Joseph Calleia, Jean Hersholt, Harvey Stephens, and Rin Tin Tin Jr. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of the special 40x60 posters that were created by the Meloy Bros. Inc company of Shelbyville, Indiana in 1935 and 1936! This company created special 40x60 posters that were distributed to theaters in the Midwest, and are NOT like 40x60 posters that were created by the studios at that time. VERY IMPORTANT! There is surface paper loss and tiny paper loss around the edges of the poster (more so in the corners), and the poster is "lifting" from the board in the corners, and there are some chips where the poster is damaged in the left of the top border. There are creases and scuffs scattered throughout the poster, more so in the solid background areas, but fortunately, there are very few in the stars' faces, although there is a scuff mark in the background just next to Cooper's eye in the top image (study our super-sized image to see exactly what they are, but they are not very distracting). There are also some other scuffs and smudges throughout the image and some dents and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster (please study our super-sized image to clearly see the above described defects). Certainly, a talented restorer could perform restoration to this poster, after which the defects would not be very noticeable at all. Learn More about condition grades
