The Gorgeous Hussy, the 1936 Clarence Brown early 19th century historical biographical romantic love triangle melodrama ("The producers of San Francisco present the next giant entertainment"; "From the novel by Samuel Hopkins Adams", who wrote the screenplay for "It Happened One Night"; very loosely based on the life of a famous Washington socialite at the time of Andrew Jackson's presidency) starring Joan Crawford (as Peggy Eaton), Robert Taylor, Lionel Barrymore (as President Andrew Jackson), Franchot Tone, Melvyn Douglas, James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; 6th billed and very early in his career!), Beulah Bondi (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Rachel Jackson, the President's wife), Louis Calhern, Sidney Toler (as Daniel Webster), and Ward Bond

Important Added Info: Note that this script was the personal copy of screenwriter Ainsworth Morgan, and it was purchased at the estate sale of his son, John Morgan. Also note that this script is the temporary complete script from October 28, 1935 and the screenplay was written by Ainsworth Morgan. The script was corrected in an unusual way! Sections that were to be deleted were underlined in red, and sections that had been revised were underlined in blue (and there is the code to this on the first interior page). Note that included with this script are two original 8" x 10" stills from the movie!

Condition: good to very good. There is some water staining around the edges of the covers, and on the right edge of the first interior page. Otherwise, the script is in pretty nice condition! The two stills are in "very good" condition.
