An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) Somebody Up There Likes Me, the 1956 Robert Wise boxing sports biography melodrama ("A Girl can lift a Fellow to the Skies!"; "M-G-M brings you every heartbeat of an amazing life story!"; "Based on the Autobiography of Rocky Graziano", from the book 'Somebody Up There Likes Me: My Life So Far' by Rocky Graziano "written with Rowland Barber"; "Another life inspired triumph from the producers of 'I'll Cry Tomorrow'") starring Paul Newman, Pier Angeli, Everett Sloane, Eileen Heckart, Sal Mineo, and Steve McQueen (uncredited in his second film role). Note that this movie was intended for James Dean, but he died prior to the start of filming, and Paul Newman took his place! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This 24-sheet poster was tri-folded only (which means there is one less vertical machine fold than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with 24-sheets folded in the "regular" way, which is nice! Tri-folded 24-sheets need to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 16" x 38", so they cost more to send than regularly folded 24-sheets, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. This twenty-four sheet was printed in 12 sections (but there is one piece missing; see below). Condition: good. The poster is missing a piece (the smallest piece, the one from the bottom right corner, where the end of the credits was, but none of the image). I imagine one could find an image of the 24-sheet in the pressbook, and re-create the missing credits. Otherwise, there are creases, tears, and smudges on many foldlines and some tiny areas of paper loss on some folds. There are some light water stains on just the section of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and tears in some borders.
