If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this movie was initially released in 1917 by Triangle Distributing. In 1919, Triangle went out of business, and many of their best movies were re-released (likely in the very early 1920s) by Enterprise Distributing Corporation, and they created all new posters, with stone litho images. The posters from these very early re-releases are extremely rare, and the original Triangle posters are often not known to exist.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top crossfold. It had tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the foldlines within the image. It had a roughly 3" x 3" triangular area of paper loss in the right ends of the top and bottom borders, extending into the image background at the top and extending into the bottom of the "t" of "Hart" at the bottom. It had similar oval-shaped paper loss at the left ends of the top and bottom horizontal folds, extending into the image background at the top and extremely slightly into the "W" of "Wm." at the bottom. It also had a 3" thin strip of paper loss at the right end of the middle horizontal fold, extending into the image background. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. It is fortunate that the areas of paper loss described above are almost completely in the blank borders and the single colored background areas, so they are not very noticeable at all, and they were not in the image of Hart at all. This poster will look great on the new owner's wall!
