An Original Vintage Linenbacked Circus Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 29 3/4" [70 x 76 cm]) (Learn More)

Biller Bros 3 Ring Circus, the 1950 circus poster ("Greenfield show grounds afternoon and night Wed. June 14"; "Ken Maynard and his wonder horse Tarzan in Person"). The poster features cool artwork of a lion! Note that our research indicates that this circus was only in existence from 1949 to 1951, and the day and date on the poster correspond to 1950 exactly. Of course, Ken's horse Tarzan died in 1940, and this poster advertises him appear with "Tarzan", but we imagine they might well have slipped in an impostor Tarzan! If anyone knows more about this circus or this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. There were some smudges and faint stains around the edges of the poster and a few scuffs scattered in the image. There is a faint stamp in the middle right yellow background. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
