An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) All-Star Comedies, the 1950 stock poster ("Another Laugh-Filled Riot of Fun with some of the screen's most popular comedians") for a series of Columbia comedy shorts. Theaters would be given this poster when they booked any of these shorts, and they could display it in their lobby at that time. It appears that this is an updated version of a 1940 Columbia stock poster, because it clearly has a 1940 copyright date in the lower left corner, although there is a 1950 NSS number in the lower right corner. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair. There are many significant defects scattered along the edges of the poster, and there is much wear and paper loss along the foldlines and several areas of foldline and/or crossfold separation. Many of the defects have been repaired with tape from the back that slightly bleeds through to the front (especially along the vertical foldline and back of the upper left horizontal fold which have much separation). The entire upper and right edge have been covered in white tape. The poster is somewhat brittle.
