What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss scattered in the vertical fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. It had pinholes in the corners and some brown stains in the edges of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was mounted onto a thin linen with almost no restoration, and the restorer left 1-2" of excess linen on all four sides. Learn More about condition grades
