An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Fighting for Gold, the 1919 Edward LeSaint (billed as "Edward J. LeSaint") silent romantic cowboy western ("The latest, best and most thrilling Tom Mix picture"; in this movie, Tom plays an English Duke who owns a gold mine in the western U.S., and he goes there to claim it, and men from an English Lord try to steal it from him, and after many complications, he gets the mine and also the girl he met in the West) starring Tom Mix, Teddy Sampson, Sid Jordan, Jack Nelson, Harry Lonsdale, Lucille Young, and Buck Jones (in an uncredited role as "Cowboy"; one of his earliest movie roles!). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: fair. There is much deterioration around the edges of the image and much of the black tape is missing. Learn More about condition grades
