Her number's not in the Social Register... but all the Social Register boys have her number!"; "The line forms at the left - and she's got some line!"; "From the novel by Donald Henderson Clarke"; produced by Hal Roach) starring Joan Bennett, Adolphe Menjou, John Hubbard (billed as "and Introducing Hollywood's Newest Heart-Throb John Hubbard"), William Gargan, George E. Stone, Peggy Wood, Donald Meek, Marc Lawrence, Victor Mature (in his first big screen role!), and Lilian Bond. Note that Joan Bennett made this movie during the time when the studio had her look like a twin to Hedy Lamarr! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This was printed by Associated Displays Corporation which was a company based in New York City. Before it was discovered by noted poster dealer/historian Walter Reuben, collectors did not know the name of this company (and thought it to be located in the Midwest), and it is often referred to as the "other company" (and we will continue to refer to it that way, since collectors know it that way). From 1936 to roughly 1941, this company printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts, half-sheets, three-sheets, 40x60s and stills) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The items almost always feature a tiny legal disclaimer and cast credits only. The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They did this by combining elements from different film scenes onto one poster or card. Sometimes, "other company" posters have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters. Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is a tape stain in the top center, paper loss in the top left blank corner, and some tiny scuffs scattered around the edges of the image. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition.
