An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Interferin' Gent, the 1927 Richard Thorpe silent cowboy western ("Folks usually reach for their guns when they call me a liar"; "Story by Range Rider") starring Jay Wilsey (billed as "Buffalo Bill Jr."), Olive Hasbrouck, Al Taylor, Harry Todd, and Jack McDonald. Note that Jay Wilsey was a man from Missouri who went to Hollywood in 1924 at the age of 28, and who started making western movies, where he was given the stage name of "Buffalo Bill Jr.", even though he had absolutely no connection to the real Buffalo Bill! He starred in many silent and sound westerns, but always for low budget films, that were made on a shoestring. His last appearance was in 1952, and he passed away in 1961. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fair to good. There are some bits of loss around the edges of the image and play dates in the bottom area, with some smudges and stains. The cardboard holder has staining around the staples. Learn More about condition grades
