An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Indian Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/2") (Learn More) Captain America, the 1944 Elmer Clifton & John English Marvel Comics (at the time known as "Atlas Comics"!) comic book superhero crime fighting fantasy serial ("Based on the Character appearing in Captain America Comics"; "A Republic Serial in 15 Chapters") starring Dick Purcell (in the title role as Captain America; he died just a few months after shooting finished), Lorna Gray, Lionel Atwill, Charles Trowbridge, George J. Lewis, and John Hamilton. Note that this was the very first Marvel Comics character to be turned into a movie, and we don't know how faithful the adaptation was (in the movie, Captain America uses a gun, and we don't remember him ever doing that in the comics!). Vassilioll Important Added Info: Note that posters from India are often printed on paper that looks quite old, even though it isn't always that old! We have seen 1970s Indian posters that look like they could be much older judging by the paper quality. Therefore, we don't feel that we can say for sure that this poster is from 1944, and it could be from that date or any later date, so please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept the uncertainty as to when it is from.
