An Original Vintage Folded World War II Poster (measures 22" x 27 3/4" [56 x 70 cm]) (Learn More)

A Careless Word... A Needless Loss, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster encouraging citizens to be careful with sensitive information, and featuring Anton Otto Fischer artwork of a dead U.S. sailor washed up on a beach. This poster might seem "heavy handed" to today's world, but America during World War II was very conscious of not accidentally giving information to the enemy.
Artist: Anton Otto Fischer
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. There is slight discoloration along portions of the vertical foldline due to exposure to moisture (see our image). There is a tear in the left black background that has been repaired with tape from the back and there is some light fold and border wear. The defects could be dealt with through a pretty simple linenbacking, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
