An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

Desert Nights, the 1929 William Nigh South Africa romantic love triangle diamond mine jewel thieves adventure thriller ("Story by Thomas Neville and Dale Van Every"; a wacky story of a male and female pair of jewel thieves who rob a diamond company in South Africa, and they take the manager as a hostage, but when they try to escape through the desert, they become lost, and they release the manager, and he not only leads them to safety, but he also falls in love with the female jewel thief and convinces her to reform) starring John Gilbert, Ernest Torrence, Mary Nolan, and Claude King. Note that star Mary Nolan was a former Ziegfeld girl who was then known as "Bubbles Wilson", but she had a very troubled life, filled with scandal, and she retired from movies in 1932, and was later a drug addict, she died in 1948 at the age of 43, completely forgotten.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good to very good. There is much water staining on the back of the card and faint water staining scattered in the front of the card, but it mostly only shows in the top and bottom blank areas. There are creases across the top of the card and there is paper loss in the top right corner. In spite of the water staining, the card displays pretty well just as it is, and would likely be a fairly easy restoration job for a talented professional.
