What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had creases, tears, and areas of paper loss on parts of many foldlines and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and the restorer did not attempt to conceal the restoration, so you can clearly see that there was lots of restoration when you look at the poster from close up, but from any reasonable viewing distance, the restoration is not very noticeable and the poster displays well.
