An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Major and the Minor, the 1942 Billy Wilder (directing his first American movie) romantic military comedy ("Is she a kid...or is she kidding?"; "Under 12?"; "As a kid of twelve... She's Terrific! As a gal of twenty-four... She's Gl-amorous!"; "Written by Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder"; an odd movie where 24 year-old Ginger Rogers poses as a 12 year-old in order to get a child ticket on a train, and she is romanced by adult Ray Milland, who can't understand why this 12 year-old is SO mature!; certainly, this movie could not be made today!) starring Ginger Rogers, Ray Milland (in the title role as Major Philip Kirby), Rita Johnson, Robert Benchley, and Diana Lynn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
