An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

3 x Chaplin, the 1972 Swedish triple-bill release of Pay Day, the 1922 Charlie Chaplin (billed as "Charles Chaplin") silent romantic slapstick 2-reel comedy short ("It's worth a years salary to see - Charles Chaplin in 'Pay Day'"; "Written and directed by Charles Chapin"; which features Chaplin as an expert bricklayer!) starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), Phyllis Allen, Mack Swain, Edna Purviance, Syd Chaplin, Albert Austin, John Rand, Loyal Underwood, Henry Bergman, and Al Ernest Garcia AND Shoulder Arms, the 1918 Charles Chaplin silent World War I (WWI) military slapstick comedy ("Charles Chaplin In His Second Million Dollar Picture"; Charlie is an inept Army recruit who is sent to France, where he does not fare much better, but then he goes "over the top" and captures 13 Germans single-handed, and has other exploits with the help of a pretty French girl, and he captures the Kaiser, and there is victory parade for him, but then, sadly, he wakes up from his wonderful dream) starring Charlie Chaplin, Edna Purviance, Syd Chaplin, Jack Wilson, Henry Bergman, and Albert Austin. Note that Chaplin was so incredibly popular in 1918, that First National had to pay him a million dollars per movie to lure him away from his previous studio (which was a staggering amount of money in 1918)! Naturally, they wanted to get some advertising value out of their massive expenditure, so they advertised the "A Dog's Life" (his first movie for First National) as "His First Million Dollar Comedy", and they advertised this movie as "His Second Million Dollar Picture". AND The Pilgrim, the 1923 Charles Chaplin silent escaped convict crime comedy short ("4 great reels"; "His very latest!"; at one point, escaped convict Charlie masquerades as a minister!) starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), Edna Purviance, Eric Campbell, Kitty Bradbury, and Syd Chaplin
