An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 81" x 81") (Learn More) The Crimson Skull, the 1921 Richard E. Norman silent "all colored cast" black African American mystery cowboy western ("An epic of wild life and smoking revolvers"; "Baffling Western Mystery Photoplay"; "Six Smashing Reels of Big Fights, Thrills and Punch"; "Made in the All-Colored City of Boley, Okla."; "All Colored Cast"; "6 Smashing Reels!") starring Anita Bush ("Little Mother of Colored Drama"), Lawrence Chenault (billed as "the versatile Lawrence Chenault"; "Playing a Triple Role"), Bill Pickett ("World's Champion Wild West Performer"; who only appeared in two films), Steve Reynolds ("the One Legged Marvel"), John Davidson, "and 30 Colored Cowboys". Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This six-sheet was printed in 6 sections and it is folded. Condition: very good. The poster has creases and tiny tears along many foldlines and some significant areas of separation on several foldlines. There is some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and some extremely tiny paper loss on small parts of some foldlines. There is some slight darkening on the back of the part of one foldline, but it really does not affect the front. The poster is in better condition than the above makes it sounds! It is virtually entirely "all there", and its only real defect is that it has become fragile over the years. After a simple linenbacking by any talented professional, this magnificent poster will look incredible, and there will truly be virtually no restoration anywhere on the poster! This poster has survived in pretty good condition, but has some imperfections. We may have written a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as you can likely see them by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster. We feel that this poster would be acceptable to most collectors, but if you are condition conscious (or if you would be bothered by small defects that are not easily discernable from our larger images) then you should not bid on this poster. Note that many "larger" size posters have tiny defects, like creases and tears on some foldlines, and tiny paper loss at crossfolds, even if they are completely unused and in quite nice condition. If you are like most collectors, and are forgiving of minor defects, then we think you will likely be happy with all items we grade "very good"! Learn More about condition grades
