An Autographed Contract (measures 8 1/2" x 11"; 18 pages) (Learn More) Charles Bickford was an actor from the 1920s to the 1960s, who effortlessly transitioned from leading man to character actor. Some of his movies include: Days of Wine and Roses, Of Mice and Men, Johnny Belinda, The Big Country, A Star is Born, Song Of Bernadette (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and Farmer's Daughter (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film). Note that Bickford never placed all his eggs in one basket when it came to his financial security. At one time he owned a gas station and garage, a half interest in a pearling schooner, a pair of whaling boats, a hog farm, a chicken ranch, a lingerie shop, and purchased an island off the coast of the Indonesian island of Java where coconuts were harvested! He passed away in 1967 at the age of 76. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Charles Bickford! Note that we have photographed the cover and the first page of the contract, as well as the page with the signatures. We also photographed seven other pages, because those pages had changes that the star initialed (see our images). We did not photograph the remaining pages, but you can see above how many pages there are in all. Note that our consignor has been a memorabilia dealer for the past 30 years, and he tells us that he is certain this autograph is authentic. In some cases he obtained the autographs in person, and in other cases (like with contracts and agreements), it is obvious the signatures are authentic, but he vouches for the authenticity of every item that he has consigned to us, and we also feel certain that the autographs are authentic.
