Brown, Bob Steele, Tom Fadden, Ben Welden, and Sonia Darrin. Note that not only did this movie have the direction of Howard Hawks and the great star power of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, but it also had the brilliant Raymond Chandler source novel, and a screenplay written by three great writers: Faulkner, Brackett, and Furthman! We have only previously auctioned two examples of it in all our years of auctioning, and only one in the last 9 years! Note that the one-sheet poster from this classic movie has one of the most disappointing images ever! Not only is there a huge red border around a tiny image of Bogart and Bacall, but the poster is also two-color, and the poster designer gave BOTH Bogart and Bacall bright red lips! But this insert poster has two images each of Bogart and Bacall, and is nicely laid out and is vastly superior to the one-sheet, and is perhaps the best Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall movie poster there is! Note that this poster could conceivably be rolled in a tube, but because it is old and very valuable, we intend to send it in a large flat package, and will only send it rolled if the new owner accepts responsibility if it is damaged from being rolled. Please bear this in mind before placing your bid on this rare poster. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has creases in the bottom 5", including slightly in the stars' faces and beneath that area. There is water staining in the center of the right blank border and a lesser amount in the bottom of the right blank border, with some smudges and slight darkening in the outer edges of the blank borders. The poster has never had any sort of restoration, and it can certainly be displayed and enjoyed exactly as it is, or one might choose to have slight restoration performed.
