Important Added Info:

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had fairly minor wear on the folds. It had pinholes, tears, and some small paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Also, after the poster was backed, it acquired a number of tiny stains in the lower right of the excess linen, going right up to the edge of the poster.
