An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Russian Movie Poster (measures 32 3/4" x 46 1/2" [83 x 118 cm]) (Learn More) Lileya (released in the U.S. as "Lileia"), the 1959 Vasili Lapoknysh, Nikolai Topchiy, & Vakhtang Vronsky Russian musical dancing melodrama starring Robert Vizirenko-Klyavin and Yevgenia Yershova. A Russian poster expert tells us that he thinks this movie was likely a filmed series of great Russian dance performances (he says there were many such films in Russia at that time). If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Zelensky Important Added Info: Note that this looks like it could be an incomplete poster (because the artwork runs off the sides, and there is no title or credits on the poster). But we think it is complete, because it is the exact same size as other Russian export posters of this time, and because they also have a small white bottom border with no borders on the other three sides. It is quite possible that they were sent blank to other countries so that the specific country that the poster was used in could write in titles in their own language. The poster comes to us from a man who ran a theater that showed foreign films in the 1950s and 1960s, and he showed this movie there in 1959, and his Russian distributor sent him this poster, which is what he displayed when he showed the movie. It has a "Made in USSR" stamp on the back. If anyone knows more about this poster or this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good to fine.
