An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 16" x 23") (Learn More)

The Dream Lady, the 1918 Elsie Jane Wilson silent romantic inheritance fortune telling melodrama ("Superb dramatization of Margaret Widdemer's celebrated novel 'Why Not'"; a very clever story of a poor orphan girl who dreams big dreams of what she would do if she ever had money; when she grows up, she inherits a fortune, and she not only adopts a poor orphan girl, but she sets herself up as a fortune teller so that when people tell her their dreams, she can "make them come true" by spending the money necessary to do so!; one of the "dreams" she fulfills is for a woman who says she would like to be a man, and she helps her dress in men's clothes, which certainly was nearly a century ahead of its time!; she also almost causes a man to get swindled, but fortunately, he does not, and he not only forgives her, but ends up marrying her) starring Carmel Myers, Thomas Holding, Kathleen Emerson, Harry Von Meter, and Philo McCullough

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster measures 16" x 23", but it very much resembles a half-sheet, and we imagine that it was a special poster created at that time that took the place of half-sheets (perhaps in 1918 they had not yet standardized the size of half-sheets). Note that the poster has been folded in half for many years, and it measures 11 1/2" x 16" when folded, and will be sent in a large flat package (the poster is fragile, and we will NOT roll it in a tube).

Condition: good. There is 3" of separation at the top of the vertical fold and some pinholes, creases, and small tears in the borders.
