Condition: good. This poster was linenbacked, but it had fairly significant defects that were corrected during the linenbacking process, and they are somewhat noticeable even from a distance. Some collectors could accept these defects and display this poster as is, and others would want additional professional restoration before they would display it. You can tell more about what defects this poster had and how good the restoration was by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).

The poster had many creases along the foldlines and small paper loss at the top crossfold. There were creases and scuffs down the center of the poster. There were two long diagonal folds across the top of the image. There were water stains across the bottom of the poster and many light stains and smudges across the bottom half of the poster. The poster was mounted on a very thin linen and no excess linen was left around the edges. This is a poster that would benefit from being re-linenbacked. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects or are willing to have them restored.
