An Original Vintage English Movie Trade Ad (measures 11 1/4" x 17 1/4" [29 x 44 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More)

Harvey, the classic 1950 Henry Koster mental illness fantasy comedy ("The wonderful Pulitzer Prize play... Becomes one of the great motion pictures of our time!"; "From the play written by Mary Chase"; about a man and his attempt to have people come to terms with his 6 foot, imaginary rabbit named Harvey; his sister tries to have him committed, but is he insane, or is Harvey somehow "real"?) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Josephine Hull (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Charles Drake, Cecil Kellaway, Jesse White, Victoria Horne, Wallace Ford, Peggy Dow, and Clem Bevans

Important Added Info: Note that this is a great trade ad taken out of The Cinema English trade magazine (we have a number of them in this set of auctions, and also other English trade ads with various amounts of pages). Studios would run these elaborate ads in issues of this magazine, and they often had images not found on any of the regular movie posters (either English or U.S.). This trade ad was removed from a 1950 issue of this magazine, and it will look incredible displayed on the new owner's wall. The back of this trade ad has text or ads for other movies from that time, and we pictured the back to better let bidders see the condition of this item, but obviously, what is of primary interest to bidders is the great ad on the front.

Condition: good to very good. The ad was removed from a magazine (see above). It was the centerfold of the magazine so the pages are on a single sheet, and there are staple holes at the spine (see our images).
