Wylie"; about a widowed mother of a young man during World War I, and he is offered an exemption because he is his mother's sole support, but then he gets involved with a young woman, and his mother gets them to revoke his exemption, and he is sent overseas and killed in action, and his girlfriend back home turns out to be pregnant, and his mother goes on a "pilgrimage" to France to learn about how he died; a little-seen early John Ford sound movie, and quite different from the movies he is best-remembered for!) starring Henrietta Crosman, Heather Angel, Norman Foster, Marian Nixon, Jay Ward (a child actor who grew up to create "Rocky & Bullwinkle" and numerous other beloved TV cartoon characters!), Charley Grapewin, and Francis Ford (director John Ford's brother). Note that source author I.A.R. Wylie was an Australian writer who wrote the source stories for many melodramas of the early 1930s. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this a movie paper item that was "authenticated" and "graded" by CGC, the famous authenticator of comic books. They gave it a grade of "very fine", and encased it in a Mylar sleeve, with an informative strip one on border, and three punch holes in another border. Condition: very good.
