The Batman, the 1943 Lamber Hillyer classic DC Comics comic book superhero action adventure crime fighting serial ("A hundred times more thrilling on the screen!"; "A Columbia Chapter Play"; "the great action serial thriller!"; "All the action and thrills of the comic strip multiplied a hundred-fold!"; "In the hands of his enemies! Can Batman escape?"; "Daring in action! Superhuman against odds!"; "The all-American hero in super-human thrills!"; "Red-Blooded Americans Versus the Wily Nipponese!"; "Watch Batman deal death and defiance to his enemies!"; "See Batman turn the tables on the wily Jap!"; "Based on the Batman Comic Magazine Feature appearing in Detective Comics and Batman Magazines"; note that because this serial was made during the middle of World War II, the villains in the movie are Japanese, and they are the stereotyped Japanese villains of that time) starring Lewis Wilson (in the title role as Batman), Douglas Croft (as Robin), J. Carrol Naish (who plays the Asian villain, Dr. Tito Daka!), Shirley Patterson, William Austin (as Alfred), and Charles C. Wilson

Important Added Info: Note that we have only once previously auctioned an example of this rare pressbook, and that one sold for $390! Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut. It was folded across the middle. There is small paper loss in the bottom right blank corner of the front cover and some partial separation of the covers at the spine.
