The event featured 40,000 musicians from around the world. Note that this poster includes an event schedule and features Georges Meunier art of many national flags, and musical instruments surrounding a statue of a winged angel. Artist: Georges Meunier Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French poster! Note that this poster ships in a very long tube (at least 33" long, but possibly 50" long or more). Therefore the shipping for this poster will be more than that for a poster that ships in a tube 32" or shorter, and possibly much more. Please bear this added shipping expense in mind before bidding on this poster. You can tell how long of a tube this poster needs to ship in by looking at the shorter dimension of its length and width and then adding 4" to that (so a 47" x 63" poster will need to ship in a 51" long tube). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had darkened unevenly. All of its right border was missing and it extended past the border in the top and bottom areas. There was trimming in the left 1/2" of the left border. The poster also had some uneven darkening. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone mounted the poster onto a fairly thin linen and made an attempt to replace the missing borders, but it was not done very well. Surely, this poster should be removed from the thin linen and properly re-backed, and please bear this in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
