Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More)

The Notorious Lone Wolf, the 1946 D. Ross Lederman detective crime mystery comedy ("She has only 21 minutes to live... Can even the Lone Wolf's cunning save her?"; "She has only 20 minutes to live...what a pity!"; "Dead... or alive!"; "The notorious lone wolf.. at his killer tracing.. blonde-chasing best!" "Based upon a work by Louis Joseph Vance") starring Gerald Mohr (in the title role as The Lone Wolf), Janis Carter, Eric Blore, John Abbott, Don Beddoe, Adelle Roberts, Robert Scott, Olaf Hytten, and Ian Wolfe. Note that The Lone Wolf was a character in a series of eight novels that author Louis Joseph Vance wrote starting in 1914, and the first movie starring the character was in 1917, with Bert Lytell in the lead role. There were three movies after that with three different actors in the lead role. Then Lytell returned to the character, and there were many movies in a short period, and then Lytell starred in some sound movies as the character. In the 1940s, Warren William starred in a series of Lone Wolf movies, and then the character was played by Gerald Mohr. There were a few single entries mixed in where other actors played the lead role. In all, there were 24 Lone Wolf movies! The character was a master thief turned detective, and there were several other characters who were very similar, but few had the enduring popularity of The Lone Wolf!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: fine. Prior to linenbacking, the poster was in very good to fine condition. The poster had tiny holes at some crossfolds and very minor fold and border wear. Whoever did the linenbacking did a very nice job as the defects are pretty invisible from any distance away.
