Charles Farrell was an actor from the 1920s to the 1950s. He was a major romantic leading star in the 1920s, and he is best remembered for the dozen movies in which he co-starred with Janet Gaynor (they were one of the most successful screen couples ever!). In the 1950s, he had a comeback as the long suffering father of Gale Storm on TV's "My Little Margie". Some of his movies include: Seventh Heaven, City Girl, and The Freshman. He passed away in 1990 at the age of 89.
Important Added Info: Note that this photo was sent by Hollywood studios to fans who sent letters to their favorite star. They would send a photo like this, printed on a nice paper stock with a facsimile autograph in a pre-printed envelope with the star's name and their studio as the return address, and there was a backing board within the envelope to protect the photo. This photo and envelope is one of a group of 25 photos and envelopes that were received by a specific fan who lived in Massachusetts in the 1920s, and who carefully saved them for many years! Each of the 25 are being sold in a separate auction.

Condition: very good to fine.
