An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Man About Town, the 1939 Mark Sandrich romantic love triangle musical comedy (Benny is a producer who brings his show to London, and he ignores his girlfriend/star, and they get involved with a noble English couple in the same situation, and both females do their best to make their better halves jealous) starring Jack Benny, Dorothy Lamour, Edward Arnold, Binnie Barnes, Phil Harris, Betty Grable, Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson, E.E. Clive, featuring Matty Malneck & His Orchestra, and Monty Woolley. Note that the woman on the left of the one-sheet poster looks like it should be Betty Grable, but she was 7th billed and only appeared in a minor role, singing one song, so it has to be Binnie Barnes, who is the second female lead, and part of the romantic love triangle with Jack Benny and Dorothy Lamour. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
