An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

Gigolo, the 1926 William K. Howard World War I (WWI) silent family relationship romantic melodrama ("from the story by Edna Ferber"; a rather depressing story of a wealthy widow who has a grown son, and she marries a gold-digging doctor who convinces her to move away from her hometown, which breaks up the romance of her son and his sweetheart; later, while her son is away becoming a hero in World War I, the doctor spends all of his wife's money, and deserts her; the son returns from the war thoroughly disillusioned and becomes a gigolo, but gives up that profession at the climax of the movie when his childhood sweetheart returns) starring Rod La Rocque, Jobyna Ralston, Louise Dresser, Cyril Chadwick, George Nichols, and Ina Anson

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: fair to good. There are tears and areas of paper loss around the edges of the card, including a 4" diagonal tear near the center of the card. The card is fairly fragile. While the card has these very real defects, it is also an excellent candidate for restoration. Except for the paper loss in the bottom left corner that slightly affects the credits, almost none of the paper loss is in a non-blank area, so a talented restorer can certainly paperback this card, and after proper restoration, it will look great, and it will likely require little paint restoration anywhere in the image.
