An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

Fugitive in the Sky, the 1937 Nick Grinde airplane aviation hijacking crime mystery action melodrama (about a plane that is hijacked by a criminal and forced to land during a dust storm; the movie is completely forgotten today, but it apparently was an excellent B-movie) starring Jean Muir, Warren Hull, Gordon Oliver, Carlyle Moore Jr., Howard Phillips, Wini Shaw (billed as "Winifred Shaw"), Mary Treen, John Litel and William 'Wild Bill' Elliott. Note that actress Wini Shaw was one of those people who seems to have everything necessary to be a major star, but who never quite gets there. Her role in "Broadway Hostess" was her only starring role, and some have said she had one of the finest singing voices in the movies in the mid-1930s, but after that movie, she only got supporting roles, and she retired in 1937 after just a few years in movies. She is probably best remembered for having introduced the song "The Lullaby of Broadway" in "Gold Diggers of 1935".

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good.
