An Original Undated (probably late 1942; from the first release of this movie in Spain) Vintage Theatrical Spanish Movie Herald (measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/4" [9 x 13 cm]) (Learn More)

Drums of Fu Manchu, the 1940 John English & William Witney Asian villain crime adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Thrilling Chapters"; "Suggested by stories by Sax Rohmer"; "Based on a novel by Sax Rohmer") starring Henry Brandon (in the title role as Dr. Fu Manchu), William Royle, Robert Kellard, Gloria Franklin, and Olaf Hytten. Note that a condensed feature version of this serial was released as a feature in 1943. Because there was a three year lapse between this serial version and the feature version, we list them as two separate movies.

Important Added Info: Note that we don't know when this movie was first released in Spain, but it was released in Portugal in 1942 and in Germany in 1952, and it surely dates from that time period. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that when Spanish heralds have printing on the back, we picture both sides, but when they are blank on the back, we only picture the front.

Note that we are currently offering a collection of 316 Spanish heralds, and this is far and away the best collection of these we have ever offered! It covers many decades and genres with many very popular titles. Please note that Spanish heralds sometimes are found with theater information on the back, and sometimes they are not printed on the back. Sometimes the ones with printing on the back have some "bleed through" to the front, especially in the light colored areas. If one of these heralds have noticeable bleed through, then we downgrade the condition (depending on how distracting or noticeable it is) even if the herald is otherwise in excellent condition (and it may be that all known examples of that herald have printing on the back, so it may only be found that way). Please look at our super-sized image of heralds that have printing on the back to see how much it affects the front (if at all). When you look at the super-sized image, you may notice that the image appears somewhat "blurry". This is because we are taking a small herald and blowing up the image so that you can see the condition, but in the process, the image can become slightly distorted or blurry, so please realize that this is only the image, and not the herald itself.
